Look of the Day: Miranda Kerr & Frankie the Yorkie

2 Jul

It is a showdown of cuteness: Who is more adorable, Miranda Kerr or her little Yorkshire terrier, Frankie? While the Victoria’s Secret model gets points for her flawless ensemble, her pup was looking particularly dapper with a freshly groomed ‘do.

The brilliance behind Miranda’s sidewalk style lies in its simplicity. She wore this sheer star-print Equipment blouse with what appears to be nothing under it and accessorized with her go-to Celine tote and Prada shades.

If she’s learned anything from her days at the lingerie mega-brand, it’s the art of messy bed hair—heaven forbid it look like she tried to be this sexy.

Cocktails anyone?! Quick tips from the ladies of Meleesa the Salon.

Here at the salon, we are always mixing and matching products to achieve the perfect amount of texture, hold or shine and making it easy for you to style at home. Here are

some of the stylists favorite product cocktails :

Meleesa loves mixing Bb Sumotech +  Brilliantine

For a seek blowout with smoothess and No frizz, Mix Bumble and Bumble Straigh with Leave-in conditioner

Adrienne’s faves are Grooming Creme + Surf Spray for the ultimate beachy waves and Curl Conscious Holding Foam at the roots for humidity resistant volume

Veruska combines lots of Tonic Lotion with Grooming Creme on the ends of wet hair for a smooth blowout on thicker textured hair.+ Also, try LOTS of Thickening Hairspray + Surf Spray at the roots for a big, sexy blowout. For shorter hair, I like mixing Sumotech with Grooming Creme for a more satin finish and lighter hold. These are some of our favorites for you to try. Next time you are in the salon, make sure to tell us your perfect product cocktail!

Best Oscars 2010 Hairstyles and Beauty Trends

8 Mar

The red carpet moment of the year, the 2010 Oscars is like the prom night of Hollywood. From Twilight-pale beauties (yay for embracing copy-paper white complexions and eschewing the ubiquitous orange spray tan) to Veronica Lake waves and lashes for days, five celebrity hairstyle and makeup looks in particular blew our hair back.Sandra Bullock

The ends of her hair were softly waved for a bit of oomph. Pinky-red lips, a defined brow and dramatic lashes rounded out the look.Kate Winslet

Mauve eyeshadow enhanced by major lashes complete the effect. We’re loving Kate’s unexpected turn from her typical demure beauty look.Zoe Saldana

Zoe’s simple, yet elegant drop diamond earrings add a sense of occasion to her subtly elegant hairstyle and makeup. Tight, close-to-the-lashes black liner and a glossed up lip make this beauty look infinitely wearable.Cameron Diaz

No stranger to a red lip, this time Cameron paired hers with a bouncy waved hairstyle pulled over to one shoulder and minimal eye makeup, save for a flirty fringe of lashes.Softly pink cheeks warm up this fun and flirty Oscar look.Rachel McAdams

This season, Rachel sparkled in watercolor-inspired pink eyeshadow that was tempered with a touch of slate shadow near the inner corners of the eye. Rachel even commissioned her sister, makeup artist Kayleen McAdams to create her makeup look. An updo hairstyle with ample volume at the roots completed the look.
